Neil Gaiman Cover Deisgns

I created these three covers as a personal project, not as a legitimate job or for a client,
but as practise into cover design.
It was a great way for me to explore my visual style and how
I deal with type and image.
I also furthered my skills within embossing and binding when creating
the hardcovers underneath.

These design were my submission to Penguin Books cover design Awards 2022, so it is important to note these aren’t legitimate designs and are purely mockups. I created the artwork in a range of ways, beginning with a sketch, then a Lithography drawing, and then digital manipulation, I work well when i understand the essence of the writing and with ‘The Diary Of A Young Naturalist’ I was in my element.
