The Fox Fires

The Fox fires was inspired by a Finnish folktale about the Nothern Lights, the Revontulet (The Finnish word for the nothern lights) translates to ‘Fire Fox’, as they believe a fox strikes its tail against the snow to create the magical aurora bourealis.

I adpated this into a tale of kindess, and the awe of the natural world. When man resuces the fox, and heals his tail, the fox then goes on to climb the mountain, and at its peak ignites the northern lights into existence.

The Arctic fox is a marvelous creature, but sadly it is poached and hunted, along with climate change damaging its habitat, we can see their population suffering. I hope Fox Fires inspires you to look at these creatures differently, and remind you of their importance, and why we should protect them...
